About our company
MexiMayan Travel is dedicated designing and escorting museum quality small group cultural discovery tours and photography tours.
In 1972 Doreen (Deb) and Robert Stelton were teachers, taking their students on Maya study trips to Mexico and Guatemala.
In 2021 after Robert's passing, Deb retired and Steve Carr took over full control of all aspects of the company, reinforcing the company's boutique invitation-only market position while expanding the geographical reach and number of tours offered.
Demand grew as friends learned about our trips and Meximayan Tours was born. Steve Carr joined a trip to Guatemala and quickly became an enthusiastic officer of MexiMayan. Soon other teachers and archaeologists wanted us to arrange trips for them to go as leaders. The Maya were the first interest of the firm and although the company visits exciting sites all over the world, the firm chooses to keep the name so many remember.
